Teens and young adults face unique challenges as they move from childhood to adulthood and independence.
The transition from adolescence to adulthood is a crucial stage of development in every person’s life.
People ages 14 until age 25 who have a disability of any type that have led to challenges in life are an important group of people known as transition-age youth. Examples of life challenges may include housing, education, employment, quality of life, or a lack of direction. Transition-age youth are seeking their own identity and independence but may still be partially dependent on the support of family members, caregivers and service providers.
Our Center can help youth who had IEPs or were eligible to have had an IEP get their life back on track towards independence.
